A rapidly growing Hispanic population is leading to changes in the classroom, influencing what and how school children learn, educators said. The society continues to become more diverse, and the classroom will have to serve as a reflection of that. Challenges surrounding bilingual education are not just challenges of the future, but a hurdle teachers and administrators at many schools are facing today.
Spanish for Educators is a program aimed to help educators: Teachers, Administrators, Nurses, Social Workers, Counseling Psychologists, etc., to break down those hurdles in educational services, by developing skills and knowledge of the Spanish language and culture, that will allow educators to open better channels of communication between their students,relatives and themselves. SEP is opened to anyone, from beginners to advanced levels working on vocabulary, terminology, role-play and other activities related to Educational services. Additionally, participants can have a practical experience by doing internships in an educational institution. ALS will also offer seminars on different educational themes.
