"The Spanish School in Mexico"

This is a communicative course with a functional task-based approach designed to help Health Care Professionals: Physicians, Nurses, Physician's Assistants, Clinical and Counseling Psychologists, Paramedics, Social Workers, Lab Technicians, or Students majoring in a Health Care Profession, to  help them break down barriers in health care services. The aim of this course is to enable participants to develop or improve their proficiency in Medical Spanish, needed to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients in a variety of health care situations such as diagnosis, symptoms, treatment etc.

Visits to local hospitals and or clinics can be scheduled, not only to have a practical application of Spanish, but to have a better idea about the Mexican healthcare system.

ALS offers our students the chance to participate in our “Conversation Exchange Program”. This conversation workshop program offers a unique experience to meet your Mexican counterpart and practice Spanish- English medical terms and cultural experiences.
