The number of organizations serving Spanish speaking communities is growing day by day, bringing a sharp rise in the demand for bilingual social workers, who are able to communicate and understand language, social and cultural nuances of their Spanish speaking clients and their families.
Our
Spanish for Social Workers course develops the four communication skills, with special emphasis on professional vocabulary and imaginary situations focused on casework: child and family welfare, need of mental health assistance, filling out an assessment, HIV and STD prevention and testing, dealing with addiction and cases of sexual abuse or domestic violence, establishing eligibility for government programs, etc. Volunteer programs, Internships or visits to local institutions can be arranged upon request.
