Xochicalco & Hacienda Vista Hermosa
The Xochicalco archaeological site is located 38 Kms. from Cuernavaca. Xochicalco is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a fortified political, religious and commercial centre from the troubled period of 650–900 that followed the break-up of the great Mesoamerican states such as Teotihuacan, Monte Albán, Palenque and Tikal. Was declared  World Heritage by UNESCO in 1999.

Hotel Hacienda Vista Hermosa, located only 30 minutes from Cuernavaca, is enclaved in 8 hectares of extraordinary gardens with  vistas of the Mexican countryside. This colonial archeological gem, once dedicated to raising cattle and the production of rice and sugarcane, dates from the 16th century. It has 105 rooms and suites, some with a private pool.

The hotel has several distinguishing features such as a collection of antique carriages on exhibit in the lobby and the remnants of an ancient acueduct transversing the main pool. A perfect place for lunch (not included).
